About MoveMyRecipes
A free tool for converting and migrating recipe files. Not a recipe website.
What MoveMyRecipes actually does
MoveMyRecipes is a file conversion utility. You bring your recipe files from an app you're leaving (or backing up), and it converts them into open formats you can keep forever or import into whatever app comes next.
It is not a recipe website. There are no recipes to browse or search here. MoveMyRecipes does not have its own recipe database.
It is completely free and requires no account or sign-up. Upload, convert, download. Done.

URL import: what works and what doesn't
The URL import works by fetching the structured recipe data (JSON-LD Schema.org markup) that websites publish for search engines. It is not a general-purpose web scraper.

Uploaded files and converted results are permanently deleted after 7 days. No data is retained beyond that.

No sign-up, no login, no payment. The service is entirely free to use.
Up to 1,000 recipes per session
Large Paprika libraries with hundreds of recipes are fully supported in a single upload.
Frequently asked questions
Is MoveMyRecipes a recipe website?
No. MoveMyRecipes is a conversion tool, not a recipe website. There are no recipes hosted here to browse or search. You bring your own recipe files (exported from Paprika, Cook'n, or another app) and MoveMyRecipes converts them to a format of your choice.
Does it use AI to convert recipes?
No. MoveMyRecipes does not use AI to convert recipes. All conversions are handled by deterministic rule-based and regex parsers. There is no AI, machine learning, or LLM involved in the conversion process.
Why can't it import from AllRecipes?
AllRecipes (and a few other large sites) detect and block automated requests, which is common among sites trying to prevent scraping. MoveMyRecipes respects these blocks. The workaround: open the recipe page in your browser, view source (Ctrl+U), select all, copy, and paste the HTML into the URL import page's "Paste page HTML" option. That way you supply the page content yourself without any automated request.
Is it safe to upload my recipe files?
Yes. Files are stored securely and automatically deleted after 7 days. MoveMyRecipes does not use your recipes for marketing or any purpose other than performing the conversion you requested. See the privacy policy for full details.
Who made MoveMyRecipes?
MoveMyRecipes is made by Judd.dev, an independent software developer. It is not affiliated with Paprika, Cook'n, CopyMeThat, AllRecipes, or any other third-party app mentioned on the site.
