Domèstica was an iOS all-in-one household organizer (recipes, budgets, tasks) made by Candid Development LLC. It was available on the App Store from around 2018 with a 20-recipe free tier. The app was discontinued in 2021 — the domain is dead and it has been delisted from the App Store. The project was relaunched as Homechart (open-source, homechart.app) in September 2021. If you exported your recipes before the shutdown, this page converts that .json file.

I still have a Domèstica .json file — how do I convert it?

Just upload the .json file here. Domèstica embedded recipe images as base64 inside the JSON, so a single file carries your full collection — text and photos together. We extract every recipe and convert it to the format you choose.

Do photos and notes survive the conversion?

Yes. Because Domèstica embeds photos as base64 inside the JSON, the images travel with the recipe data — we extract them and preserve them through to PDF and HTML outputs. Ingredients, instructions, notes, and metadata all carry through.

Can I move my Domèstica recipes to another app?

Yes — convert to JSON or .cook here, then import into the destination app. Schema.org JSON-LD works in Mealie, Tandoor, and most modern recipe apps. The JSON output is also structured for Paprika's import path.
