Domèstica .json exports supported

Rescue your Domèstica recipes

Domèstica was discontinued in 2021 and is no longer available. If you exported your recipes before the shutdown, upload your .json file here — we'll convert everything to PDF, JSON, CSV, or Markdown, photos included.

100% free. Open-source parsing. No account required.

What we support

The Domèstica JSON export, with embedded base64 images.

.json Supported

Your full Domèstica collection. We extract every recipe and decode the base64 images so they appear in PDF and HTML outputs.

.zip Supported

If you've zipped multiple Domèstica exports together, drop the .zip in — we'll unpack and merge every recipe.

If you have a Domèstica export

Domèstica is no longer available, but if you exported before the shutdown your .json file still works here.

1

Find your Domèstica export

Look in your Files app, iCloud Drive, email, or wherever you saved the .json export from Domèstica before it was discontinued.

2

Upload it here

Drag the .json into the upload area above. Domèstica bundled all your recipes — including photos as base64 — into a single file, so one upload covers everything.

3

Choose your output format

Pick PDF, JSON, CSV, Markdown, or .cook. Your recipes, ingredients, instructions, and photos all carry through.

4

Moving to Homechart?

Domèstica was relaunched as Homechart (homechart.app) in September 2021 — open-source and actively maintained. Convert to JSON here, then import into Homechart or any other app.

About Domèstica

Domèstica was an iOS all-in-one household organizer built by Candid Development LLC — recipes, budgets, and tasks in one app, with a 20-recipe free tier. It launched around 2018 and was available on the App Store until 2021, when the company relaunched the project as Homechart — open-source and actively maintained.

If you exported your recipes before the shutdown, the .json file is self-contained: Domèstica embedded photos as base64 inside the JSON, so a single file carries everything. Upload it here and it converts cleanly.

Convert to JSON for re-import into Homechart or another app, PDF for printing, Markdown for a personal cookbook, or .cook for any CookLang-compatible tool.
